BOARD OF DIRECTORS
CLAUDE ALDRIDGE
Claude has spent time in a variety of industries including financial services, digital media, social media, advertising technology, startups and wearable technology. He has extensive knowledge in marketing, product development, customer acquisition, business development and sales. A graduate of the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Claude currently resides in Kansas City with his two children. He actively participates in various volunteer opportunities, most recently helping to build houses at the Veterans Community Project. Boy Scouts of America, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Children’s Miracle Network are a few other organizations he has volunteered for in the past.
CLAY DANIELS
Clay is currently the President, U.S. Engineering Service, LLC (Service entity of U.S. Engineering) and lives in Overland Park, KS with his wife and three kids. Clay is a 2000 Graduate of the United States Military Acadamy at West Point and was a 3 year letterman in Football. Clay served in the Army for 10 years including 5 overseas deployments, 3 to Iraq, as well as a being a member of the Green Beret’s and the 10th Special Forces Group.
BRIAN BEGGS
Treasurer
Brian has been a chartered Financial Analyst since 2004 and a member of the CFA Institute as well as the Kansas City Society of Financial Analysts. Brian volunteers as a pilot for Grace Flight of America, Veterans Airlift Command and Pilots n Paws. Brian’s father served multiple tours of duty in Vietnam as an Army aviator. Brian is currently the Director of Acquisitions for Block Real Estate Services in Kansas City, MO.
NICHOLAS SCHULZE
Nicholas served as director of food and beverage for The Dominic Passantino Memorial Fund for the past 5 years which has provided over $500,000 in donations to Childrens Mercy Hospital burn unit. Nick also was a creator of Dominic's Day at the "K" which raised funds for student aid and scholarships at Rockhurst Highschool. Nick is currently the Business Development Manager for ARCO National Construction - Kansas City.
CHRIS FORD
Chris Ford is a board member for Heroes Above Us and helps identify Gold Star Family nominations as well as venue partnerships. Chris enrolled in ROTC at the University of Kansas and was commissioned an officer in the United States Army in 1998. As an Infantry Officer, Chris was stationed in Italy, Kosovo, Germany and Texas. Additionally, Chris commanded C/1-9 CAV during Operation Iraqi Freedom II from March 2004-March 2005. Chris currently serves as a shareholder and the Chief Sales Officer for HUB International's Kansas City office.
MARIE HOOKER
Marie has been a teacher in the Shawnee Mission School District for past 17 years teaching mainly 6th graders. She is in charge of technology training for all staff members since 2013. Marie has her masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is currently a 6th Grade teacher in the Shawnee Mission, KS School District
